For many years, the Eparchy of St. Maron of Brooklyn has been committed to ministering to our young people, especially the MYO-aged youth across our parishes. This commitment reached a milestone in November of 2019, when the Eparchial Office for Maronite Youth was formally established with the mission to provide initiatives, events and resources to assist youth in bringing them closer to Christ and forming them as intentional disciples, while also supporting pastors and youth leaders in journeying and accompanying their teens. 

 

The Eparchial MYO Office delivers on this mission with annual regional retreats across the Eparchy, providing constant outreach and support to local Youth Leaders, developing and publishing resources and guides for use on the parish level, and more! The Office team is comprised of 12 individuals that commit countless hours towards this work entirely on a VOLUNTEER BASIS. 

 

The Eparchial MYO Office does not operate on a fixed budget. In fact, it relies on the minimal fees that are collected from retreatants to barely cover the costs associated with different events and initiatives. For most retreats and events, does not even break even, relying further on grants that the Eparchy receives to offset some of the cost.

Over the last several years, we have seen incredible success in the work our Office has done. The funds will help cover the costs associated with the retreats, events, and initiatives we host above and beyond what we are able to charge and gather from participants.
